Description: RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and reviews the claim settlement process to facilitate the achievement of customer service standards

Advises support staff on claims matters

Maximizes strengths and identifies deficiencies in the claims applications

Develops and implements plans to minimize cost per claim

Manage recoveries, selling of wrecks, reserves and other relevant areas

Responsible for meeting business targets and expanding current business by contributing to and implementing business strategies, plans and programs.

Builds new relationships and strengthens existing relationships with Clients, Brokers and Agents to achieve production, retention and brand loyalty objectives

Manages subrogation recoveries and maintains a register of legal matters ensuring appropriate action is taken regarding appearances, responses, releases, etc.

Makes budgetary recommendations regarding cost per claim, recoveries, productivity standards, reserves and other relevant areas

Develops and implements systems to lessen or eliminate fraudulent claims

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A professional insurance qualification ACII or a first degree in Business Administration.

At least 8 years industry relevant experience of which 4 years must be at a Supervisory level or in a senior claims position.
